About

My name is Tracy Smith. I’m DeafBlind, based in South Africa, and I build digital products that open your door to a wider audience.

I work as an accessibility consultant, AI agent builder, and bespoke app developer. My angle is simple: accessibility isn’t a luxury — for some, it’s the difference between being locked out and being included. For most, it’s the difference between a product you tolerate and one that respects your time and your mind. For a business, it’s the door that opens to a wider audience, and the internal app your newest disabled employee can actually use on day one.

Behind the consulting work is a family of AI agents I use and build — including one named Iris that handles email triage as my right hand. I bring the same agent-first thinking to my clients: lift the drudgery off your team automatically, and make sure the tools that do it are accessible by default.

How I work

Every engagement starts with listening. I want to understand what you’re building, who it’s for, and where the friction is. Then I’ll tell you honestly whether I can help, and how.

  • Accessibility audits — WCAG 2.2 AA and EN 301 549, with real screen-reader and keyboard testing, plus implementation support for your dev team.
  • Bespoke AI agents and automation — workflow automation that lifts the heavy lifting off your team, accessible by default.
  • Accessible apps and websites — built from the ground up with accessibility as a foundation, not a retrofit.

Whether you’re a small SMME, a non-profit, or a corporate team — if you’re trying to make something more usable for more people, I’d like to hear from you.
